Besides winning a place amongst the ten best restaurants in Holland (newspaper "De Telegraaf") in 2005, De Prins ranks among the 500 top restaurants published annually in "Lekker", the Dutch restaurant guide for people in the know.
"This restaurant by the river Rotte has an upmarket name, but is nevertheless cosy and informal with the air of a good old fashioned Bistro... Thick slices of Ducks liver with a confit of duckbreast is a fabulous starter served in generous portions. The main course of fillet steak is enormous and very satisfying with a smooth, subtle bayleaf sauce.... We struggle to leave the table after a hearty slab of traditional, homemade Dutch apple cake - a dessert we could not refuse. The prices are mid-range - you get your money's worth and more. The waiters couldn't be better and all the wines on their extensive list can be served by the glass. Great place." Lekker 2006
